A very inspirational (and super lovely) mum: This is Alison’s Story

Alison is type of person that you just want to be friends with. Her smile is infectious and she is one of the most selfless women I have ever met.

I met Alison about 12 months ago after her husband Steve found Pram Fitness online and gave me a call. He was looking for a birthday present that he could buy for his wife and thought that group fitness classes with other mummies would be a great gift as she had been having a pretty rough time since having her second daughter.

When Alison joined Pram Fitness she said she felt exhausted and she lacked the motivation she needed to do something for herself and get her health back on track.

Alison had been so focused on being an amazing mum that she forgot about herself which became a vicious cycle of no energy, gaining weight and finding it hard to have the energy to keep up with her 2 young girls.

After joining Pram Fitness we took out time to focus on helping Alison with not just her fitness but also her nutrition and the “new” way she has learnt to eat, along with the regained fitness has meant she has now lost over 14kg’s. Alison has been dedicated to being consistent with her workouts and now her oldest daughter loves coming along and copying her mummy while she exercises.

Alison is an amazing woman to be around, she would do anything for anyone and I am so proud and happy that she is happy with herself. Oh and did I mention that she just completed her first ever 10km fun run, yep she ran the whole way without stopping. So proud!

Here is Alison’s story in her own words…

“I started Pram Fitness towards the end of May this year. After my second daughter Beatrix was born, I was exhausted and lacked motivation to start looking after myself and get myself healthy again. So, as a birthday present, my husband found Pram Fitness and gave them a call. Initially I was hesitant as we lived quite far from where sessions are held however after my first class, I was hooked.

The energy at Pram Fitness sessions are so positive and encouraging and I have never felt more at ease in a group training environment.

Training with the group on a Wednesday and Friday morning is one of the highlights of my week and both my daughters love coming along too. My three Year old now does burpees and push ups randomly at home and wants me to run everywhere with her. I wouldn’t have been able to do that 6 months ago, however after sticking to a healthy eating plan advised by Pram Fitness and attending regular sessions I have lost nearly 14kg and more importantly feel happy and healthy again.

I love feeling like a more positive role model for my girls and it’s wonderful to feel so much more energised. I can’t thank Pram Fitness enough for helping me to turn my life around. I love Pram Fitness!”
